Value Chain Segmentation
Value chain segmentation is focused on the need to stratify supply chain capabilities to address differences in customer and product value. Through segmentation, firms can sharpen their focus and service menu offerings. In this learning area, participants will gain an understanding of the principles of segmentation and then deploy those concepts to pilot segmentation within their supply chain.
Participants come from a cross-functional representation of the groups involved in the process. These participating functions include sales, marketing, finance, customer service and supply chain.
